Maria Carmen Camacho died this Monday morning at the age of 72
at the St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy after a lengthy
illness.
Maria Carmen Camacho died this Monday morning at the age of 72 at the St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Matamoros, Mexico, on Jan 9, 1933. She was a member of the Teamsters Union #890 of Salinas. In addition to being a homemaker and housewife, she had worked for San Benito Foods and was a teacher’s assistant at the Ladd Lane School.

She is survived by her husband, Pablo D. Camacho of Hollister; her children, Maria Guadalupe Coronado, Rosa Guillermina DeLeon and Patricia Recio all of Texas, Rosalinda DeLeon, Pablo Martin Camacho and Jose Angel Camacho all of Hollister; her siblings Gloria Alicia Salas, Catalina DeJimenez and Maria de Lourdes Loera all of Texas, Miguel C. Loera and Miguel Loera both of Mexico and the late Raul Cedillo, Beatrice Garduno, Francisco Loera and Jesus Loera. She is also survived by 31 Grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 am to 7pm Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services and burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
