Maria H. Haro peacefully passed away at her home Saturday, February 16, 2008. She was the wife of Emilio A. Haro of Gilroy, mother of Sergio Haro, Angelberto Haro, Yolanda Garcia (Enrique), Irma Torres (Rodney), Evangelina Haro and Manuel Haro, grandmother of Angel, Matthew, Lucas Anthony, Teresa, Alexandria, Susan, Deanna and Angelica. She was the youngest sister of 2 sisters and 5 brothers in Mexico. A native of San Julian, Jalisco, MX. Mrs. Haro moved to Gilroy from her native home in 1961. She worked at Gilroy Foods for more than 30 years, and was a very active member of St. Mary Parish. She was also very proud to earn her citizenship in 1996.
Visitation will begin Monday, February 18, 2008 1:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home until 5:00 and continue at St. Mary Church at 6:00 with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, February 19, 2008 – 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Then to St. Mary Church for Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Her faith in God never wavered during her 7 year illness with cancer.
