Marietta Filice of Hollister died Monday at the Gilroy Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was 95.

A native of Donnici, Italy, Mrs. Filice was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked for the Hollister Canning Company for many years. She also was a homemaker during her adult life, and enjoyed working in her garden.

Mrs. Filice is survived by nieces and nephews Clara Crowe, Emma Davis, Mary Righetti and Anita Frusetta, Ersilia Aiello, Josephine Borelli, Maria Grimsley, Julio Filice, all of Hollister, Joe Filice of Martinez, Gen Calligheri of Richmond and Michael Filice of San Francisco, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Carmen, Michael, Paul and Luigi Filice.

Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. Thursday at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the mortuary chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday and proceed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for an 11 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Donations are preferred to St. Benedict’s Building Fund or to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the chapel.
