Marin V. Salinas passed away in Hollister, Friday at the age of 72. He was born in Texas and has resided in Hollister for nearly 35 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Salinas had worked in agriculture for over 30 years having been a tractor operator and working in greenhouses for germination of seeds. Marin was predeceased by his wife, Maria Teresa Salinas in 2004, and a granddaughter, Nicole D. Salinas in 1995. Father of Adolf Salinas (Maria), Mario Salinas (Margaret), Linda Vasquez (Juan) and Michael Salinas (Mindy) all of Hollister. Grandfather of Nathan, Anthony, Elyssa, Lanette and Alvaro Vasquez, Sommer and Autumn Salinas and Adam Lamberson. Brother of Juan “Johnny” Salinas and Manuel Salinas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the Rosary to be offered that evening at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M. and proceed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a funeral Mass commencing at 10:00 A.M. Graveside services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hollister.
