He had lived in San Benito County for nine years and married his wife, Mary Ellen, in 1998 in Hollister. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked as a painter for Villa and Sons Painting in Hollister.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Roman of Hollister; his son and his wife, Miguel and Katherine Hernandez of Hollister and his two sons, Vincent Hernandez of Hollister and Manuel Roman of Hollister; his father and mother, Gabriel and Siberia Roman of Mexico; his two granddaughters, Vanessa Hernandez and Joann Nicole Hernandez of Hollister.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters living in Mexico.

The Rosary will be on Thursday, March 31 at 7pm at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

The Mass will be on Friday, April 1 at 1:30pm at Sacred Heart Church. Interment and graveside services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. Friends can pay their respects on Thursday from noon until 9pm at the funeral home chapel.
