Mary B. Smith of Hooks, Texas died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004 at her home. She was 83.

Mrs. Smith was born May 21, 1920 in Temple, Texas and was employed with College Hill Speedwash.

She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and a member of Ruth Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Floyd Jordan Sr. and Loyd Smith Sr., and daughter Alice Jordan Seymore.

She is survived by her children and their spouses Floyd and Bep Jordan of Hollister; Loyd and Shirley Smith of New Boston, Texas, Lawrence and Deborah Smith of Doddridge, Ark., Lynn Smith of Houston Texas, and Grace and Tom Hill of Hooks, Texas. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many church friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at Read Hill Cemetery in New Boston, Texas with Rev. Walter Jackson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26 at East Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Grace and Tom Hill, 215 Thomas Hill Road in Hooks, Texas.

Memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, Texas.
