at home on Wednesday, March 2. She was 87 years old.
Mary Bridget Weinberger passed away peacefully with her family at home on Wednesday, March 2. She was 87 years old.

A native of County Limerick, Ireland, Mrs. Weinberger moved to Gilroy in 1966 from Alberta, Canada. She worked as Licensed Vocational Nurse at Wheeler Hospital for 20 years – being a graduate of the first LVN class at Gavilan College.

She was a member of St. Louise Hospital Auxiliary, Gilroy Community Seniors Advisory Board, Adams 4-H Leader, Lord’s Table Volunteer and Women in Touch. After retirement, she traveled throughout the United States with her husband in her RV. She was the oldest sister of 14 siblings and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was the wife of 57 years to the late Gary Weinberger; mother of Ann Weinberger Hayes and her husband, Jeff Collins, of San Jose, Kathy Weinberger Dudgeon, and her husband, Tim Dudgeon, of Hollister and the late Mary Elizabeth Weinberger; grandmother of Elizabeth Dudgeon Pirie, and her husband, Michael, of San Ramon; Margaret Dudgeon Garza and her husband, James, of Santa Rosa, and Ann Mary Dudgeon of Santa Rosa; great-grandmother of Cora Celeste Pirie of San Ramon and Cameron Garrik Loughry of Santa Rosa; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 12 at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

The family would appreciate donations to Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital or the Gilroy Community Seniors.
