On Feb. 21, 1919, an angel was given to us. On Dec. 15, 2009, the windows of heaven were opened and the spirit of the Lord came for His precious daughter, Mary G. Soriano.

The heritage of her descendants are Louie and Rachel Soriano, Tommy and Connie Soriano, Polly and Ralph Ortez, Irene and Walter Martinez, Alice and Larry Flores, Betty Soriano Quintero and Bernice and Ruben Ramirez, 30 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren and 76 great-great-grandchildren. Mary was married to Luis Soriano and they lived in San Martin, CA. until he departed in August 1985. She was a very happy, strong-minded and spirit-filled woman. A faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend! Mary was a dedicated member of St. Catherine’s church, where she celebrated her 50th Anniversary, wedding and many of her children’s baptisms, communions, confirmations, quincineras and weddings. Mary was a beautiful woman filled with unconditional love for all that crossed her path. She always wanted peace amongst the family and others. Grandma Mary or Lil Grama as many knew her, always had food on the table, or Mexican bread and something for you to drink. She also always tried to send you off with a gift or food. Lil Mary was a beautiful woman of God WILL BE MISSED & CHERISHED 4ever! May we all try to be like her.
