Hollister resident Mary Louise Hoag died Sunday, Nov. 2 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 89.
She was born in South Gibson, Pa., and moved to San Benito County 20 years ago.
She was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Hollister. Her avid hobby was sewing.
She had worked for a business machine and computer company as an assembly inspector.
She is survived by her sons Robert C. (Shirley) Hoag II of Concord, and Richard A. (Carol) Hoag of Austin, Texas; daughter Diane L. Hoag of Sacramento; brother Glenn Conrad of Denton, Texas; sister Esther Hunt of Binghamton, N.Y.; granddaughters Monica Sciuto of Lake Tahoe, and Courtney Nowakowski of Austin, Texas; grandsons Aaron Hoag of Alameda, Jared Hoag of Concord, Jeffery Hoag of Austin, Texas, and Brendan Hoag of Austin, Texas.
A memorial service will be offered at noon today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hollister. Burial and graveside services will be later this week in Vestal Hills Cemetery in Vestal, N.Y.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister.
