Mary Marget Wallace passed away at the age of 79, Friday, in Sun City West, Arizona. Born in Indiana, she came to California in 1961, having resided in San Juan Bautista from 1975 to 1993. She had received her Bachelor’s Degree at Gavilan College.
Mary had been a postal worker for 25 years, until her retirement. She had been a member of Aromas Grange; Watsonville Hospital Women’s Auxiliary; San Juan Bautista V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary; volunteer for the Los Banos Police Dept., as an evidence handler; and a volunteer secretary for Calvary Baptist Church in Los Banos.
Mary was the wife of Ivan Dale Wallace, who died in 1981, mother of Nancy L. Johnson of Surprise, AZ, Donna Brotherton of Patton, MO, Dale Wallace of Salinas, Mary Ann Avalos of LaGrange, and Richard Wallace of Los Banos. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be after 10 A.M. on Thursday, with the funeral services to be held at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister, CA 95023. Graveside services and burial will follow at the San Juan District Cemetery.
