I agree with Pat Loe’s comment in the March 4th Pinnacle about Measure G being about power. In my opinion, Measure G was a power grab by the supervisors, including Ms. Loe, that tried to ram Measure G down the throats of the citizens of San Benito County.
I disagree with Loe’s statement that “The division is so deep it will be a long time, if ever, before any healing process can begin.” Pat, 69 percent of the citizens were healed on March 2. You had better hope they stay healed for two more years when you will have to face the voters. There are 3 times more Democrats in District 5 than Republicans. Bob Cruz won by 25 votes. The ratio is less than 2 to 1 in your district, District 3.
I would have sent this to the Pinnacle but the editor rarely prints my letters. After Ms. Cone’s editorial about Ignacio Velazquez in the same issue as your article, I do not want my name in the same paper with her name.
