Melissa passed away suddenly of natural causes Thursday, June 14, 2007 at UC Davis Medical Center. She was the daughter of Angelique R. Arevalo of Gilroy and Christopher Casillas Sr. of Gilroy, granddaughter of Dolores & Teodor Arevalo of San Jose, & Linda Casillas of Gilroy, sister of Christopher, Danny, Gabriela, Jasmine, Edward and Edward Jr. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. A native of Gilroy.
Melissa attended Starlight School in San Jose.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007, beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy, with Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 22, 2007 – 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
