Micaela R. Lopez died Saturday at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She
was 93 years old and was born in Durango, Mexico.
Micaela R. Lopez died Saturday at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was 93 years old and was born in Durango, Mexico. She came to Hollister nine years ago from Mexico to be with her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Lopez, who died in 1992 and her daughter, Antonia Pereda, in 1994.
She is survived by her son, Roberto Lopez of Hollister; her companion, Maria E. Orozco of Hollister; and her grandchildren, Lourdes Minor of San Diego, Robert Lopez of Fresno, Freddy Lopez of Hollister, Alex Lopez of Burlingame, Aaron Lopez of San Diego, Jesus Avalos of El Paso, Rodolfo Avalos of El Paso and Sergio Avalos of El Paso. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and then proceed to Sacred Heart Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Interment and graveside services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
