San Juan Bautista resident
San Juan Bautista resident Michael Smaydi died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Hazel Hawkins Northside Convalescent Hospital. He was 79.
Mr. Smaydi was born in Jersey City, N.J. and had lived in San Juan for 30 years. He worked in maintenance and was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Leslie L. Garratt Post of San Juan Bautista.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Smaydi.
At Mr. Smaydi’s request, no services will be held. Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
