I think it’s a wonderful idea for these women to want to get the local community involved with sending care packages to their loved ones over in Iraq.
I’m retired Navy and understand completely the care packages from home.
Please ask the local veterans groups for help there in Hollister. I’m sure you will get some of them to want to help this cause.
Also, I am currently living in Jacksonville, N.C., which is home to the 2nd Marines. We have the oldest USO that is still functioning here in the United States. I’m sure if I can talk with the director that they will know some groups that can assist with getting the fellow soldiers some care packages.
Please give my e-mail address to the ladies that are standing guard on Hollister’s homefront for our troops.
