Noreen Martin’s letter opposing the long-awaited San Juan Oaks
project is flawed and erroneous. Fifteen of the 30 low-income homes
are in fact in the $160,000 to $180,000 price range that she
defines as affordable in her letter.
Noreen Martin’s letter opposing the long-awaited San Juan Oaks project is flawed and erroneous. Fifteen of the 30 low-income homes are in fact in the $160,000 to $180,000 price range that she defines as affordable in her letter. The San Juan Oaks project is the result of responsible planning and was carefully crafted to minimize environmental impacts while adding maximum value to the local economy and badly needed revenue to the county tax base.

This is why pioneering families, new-comers, both local newspapers and the majority of San Benito County Supervisors supported this beneficial, job-creating enterprise. I am proud to know Scott Fuller and respect and appreciate the many valuable contributions that San Juan Oaks has made to San Benito County. There will always be a few persons on the fringe such as Ms. Martin who disapprove of responsible development and positive socio-economic progress in the community.

The majority of us look forward to the promise that the San Juan Oaks Resort will offer to San Benito County.
