The Nash Road closure through the San Benito High School campus is in effect between Monterey and West streets from 7am to 7pm weekdays following a “grand closing” ceremony Monday morning.

The high school hosted the ceremony marking the official closure of Nash Road where it bisects the campus. The ribbon cutting was at 10:30am. It involved district trustees, principal Adrian Ramirez and superintendent Shawn Tennenbaum.

That portion of Nash is now closed from 7am to 7pm on weekdays now that the River Parkway bypass is functioning west and south of campus.

This barrier is what westbound motorists on Nash Road now see, to allow students to walk freely from one side of campus to the other.
