Criminal Sentencings

San Benito County Judge Steven Sanders

Jason Lewis Miller, 31, of Hollister, was sentenced to 40 hours of community service, one year of probation and fined $460 for misdemeanor illegal weapon possession.

Aurelio Ramirez, 36, of Hollister, was sentenced to 31 days in county jail, three years probation and fined $460 for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.

Sara Villa, 30, of Hollister, was sentenced to 31 days in county jail, three years probation and fined $460 for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.

Marcos Lopez Mendoza, 26, of Hollister, was sentenced to 120 days in county jail, four years of probation and fined $650 for two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Oscar Martinez, 29, of Oakland, was sentenced to two years and eight months in state prison for felony receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.

Plutarco Ruiz, 44, of Hollister, was sentenced to 35 days in county jail, three years of probation, a three-year restricted license and fined $2,208 for misdemeanor drunken driving with a prior and false identification to a peace officer.

Civil Lawsuits

Billie Keith Wolf and Lisa Wolf filed a civil suit against World Savings Bank, Jennifer Perry, Denise Garner and Geneva Shirey, alleging fraud, seeking more than $25,000.

San Benito County Water District filed a civil suit to determine the validity an amendment to a contract with the United States seeking more than $25,000.

Ada Palma Rodriguez, Consuelo Rodriguez, Dina Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez, Consuelo P. Rodriguez, German Rodriguez Jr., Ruben Rodriguez and Manuel Rodriguez filed a civil suit against Jeffrey Steven Huff, Jean E. August, Paul Cervantes and Direct Services Inc., alleging personal injury, wrongful death and other damages, and seeking more than $25,000.

Lewis Hinchman Ham III filed a civil suit against Mark Alfred Francis alleging property damage, personal injury, and other damages, and seeking more than $25,000.

San Benito Health Care District filed a civil suit against Stuart Martin, M.D., alleging breach of contract and seeking more than $25,000.

Kitim Valdez petitioned Hector Gerardo Ortiz for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
