BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER: Felix Soliz Verdusco, Jr., 40, of 850 Hillcrest Rd. #19 in Hollister, was arrested by San Benito County Sheriff's deputies for battery to a peace officer and violation of parole, both felonies, resisting arrest, providing false information to a peace officer and being under the influence of heroin, all misdemeanors, at 2900 Fairview Road at 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday. After deputies responded to the residence for a report of a suspicious vehicle and began talking to Verdusco they discovered he had several outstanding warrants out of Monterey County. Police administered pepper spray and finally took him into custody, according to deputies.
