County can’t censure DA if found guilty of harassment allegations
No policies on the county's books would allow penalties against District Attorney John Sarsfield if he's found guilty of sexual harassment allegations against him for an alleged affair with a subordinate, and a voter recall would be the only way to remove him from office.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Marianne Masteuer, 48, of 11900 Marilyn Ln. in Aromas, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, when she drove her 2001 Volvo down a ditch on Highway 101 at Cole Road around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday. She suffered minor injuries when the airbags deployed - causing scratches to her face and wrists - but was not transported to the hospital.
Pass the butter: Food tastes better with the real thing
I love butter. In my salad days, I used margarine. But no more. A few years ago, I decided I would use less butter, but use the real thing. I think most of my dishes have tasted better ever since. So I felt a kindred spirit when I read this ode to butter, entitled "the zen of butter":
