Funeral set for Gavilan basketball player Gaines

The funeral service for Andrel Gaines, the 19-year-old Gavilan College basketball who died from injuries suffered in a Nov. 6 car accident, is scheduled for at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 in the gymnasium on Gavilan's campus, athletic director Ron Hannon told the Gilroy Dispatch on Wednesday.

His teammates Billy Heard, 22, and Andrel Gaines, 19, were severely injured and remain at San Francisco General Hospital Wednesday.
