Nona J. Castro died at her Hollister home on February 22, 2007.

She was born in Lemoore, CA, and lived nearly all of her life in San Benito County. She drove the school bus for the high school for 27 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos. She loved spending time with her family and liked going to Table Mountain Casino in Madera.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Castro, who died in 1973, and is survived by her children and their spouses, Sylvia and Ruben Anaya of San Jose, Juanita and Larry Lucas of Hollister, Linda Rios of Hollister and John and Cindi Castro of Marysville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends can pay their respects on Monday, February 26th from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. on Monday. The Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 27th at Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos. Friends can gather at the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. for a procession to the church.

Interment will follow the Mass at San Juan District Cemetery in the Larios/Castro family plot.
