Norberto Alanis died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 in San Jose. He was 83.

Loving husband of Josefina Alanis of Gilroy; loving father of Alfredo and his wife Kim Alanis of Gilroy, Norbert and his wife Gloria Alanis of Gilroy, Tony and his wife Yolanda Alanis of San Jose, and Jim and his wife Sally Alanis of Gilroy. Grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of eight. He is also survived by many relatives in Monterrey, Mexico.

A vigil will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy. Funeral services will begin Friday, Jan. 23, 2004 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home then to St. Mary’s Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Gilroy.
