Hollister police officers arrested four people suspected of attempted commercial burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary early Thursday morning.

At 1:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of people allegedly vandalizing the Hometown Gas Station in the 200 block of San Benito Street. According to the police report, witnesses reported three people allegedly breaking windows in the business while a fourth stood on the corner. The witness called 911 to report the alleged crime and stayed on the line to give dispatchers descriptions of the suspects.

Hollister police officers located the alleged suspects a short distance from the building. They arrested Julio Chavez-Ramirez, 18, Mariah Carigilio, 18 and two juveniles. The two adult suspects were charged with burglary, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Officers reported that two windows of the business were broken and the suspects allegedly tried to remove a security screen.
