She was born in Okeema, Okla. and lived in Hollister for about 40 years.

She had a great love of aviation and liked to go to air shows in the area and once flew in a T-6 Navy Bomber.

She recently lived in Tuolumne County and came back to Hollister two weeks ago to live with her daughter and be near family.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Smith, of Sugar Pine; her children and their spouses, Larry and Patricia Colbert of Salinas, Kathey and Mike Graves of Hollister and Pam and Claude Wilson of Hollister; her brother and sisters, Roy Ricketts of Santa Rosa, Floi Hood of Arkansas, Ruby Chambers of Bakersfield and Verla Bingham of Coarsegold

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jared Colbert, Brent Colbert, Josh Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Michaela Graves, Chase Graves, Stephanie Taylor and Brad Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Kylee Wilson and Ethan Taylor Estrada.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 11am at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Rev. Hanna Peterson of The First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Friends are invited to attend. Cremation will be at Gavilan Hills Crematory with family having committal at a later date.
