Letter: Veteran hopes to recover missing flag
Whomever removed the U.S. flag from the front of my home at 1231 Sunset Drive in Hollister, please return it. It has great value as it was presented to me when I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service in Vietnam. I will purchase you a new U.S. flag. No questions asked.
Letter: Chief responds to guest view criticizing murder investigation
The Hollister Police Department stands by the investigation by the officers and investigators involved in this case. We have motivated, altruistic, fully-qualified law enforcement professionals, I am proud to serve with all of them, just as they are proud to serve the City of Hollister. Any and all actionable leads were acted upon in a timely manner. Eight different local, state and federal agencies also assisted in this case. This is still an ongoing active investigation and it would be inappropriate for me to comment any further or clarify information to reveal any more details at this time.Â

Letter: Reader sick of club cards
Is anyone else getting sick and tired of these club cards at all the stores? Club cards that you have to swipe every time you go through the register in order to get the sale price. Club cards that you have to give your personal information so that you can be bombarded with not only emails from the stores themselves, but any and all of the companies they sell your names and personal information to. Oh yes, they all say WE don't sell your personal information or your email address! Yet every time you sign up for one of these club cards you get bombarded with emails from companies that you've never heard of or purchased anything from. NOT buying it!
