Osvald passed away peacefully at his home in the company of friends and family. Born in Denmark, Osvald started a new life in California at the age of 21. While serving in WWII, he met his beloved wife Anna. They raised their three children in San Jose and Saratoga. Osvald owned and operated Coast Engraving and Gem Litho in San Jose, Ray’s Photo Engraving and Pilot Printing in Santa Cruz. He was a Mason and a member of the Danish Lodge. Osvald was a hardworking, dependable, compassionate man and was loved by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Mikkelsen, of Gilroy, sons and daughters: Gregory Mikkelsen of Incline Village, NV; Jeff and Ingrid Goodere of Gilroy; Eric and Carol Mikkelsen of Santa Cruz, grandchildren: Tyler, Spencer, Justin, Kendra, Lindsay Goodere; and Evan Mikkelsen, great-grandchildren: Jeffrey and Aubrey Goodere.
A Memorial service will be held March 31st at 12 noon at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club, 2951 Club Drive, Gilroy, Ca 95020.
