An overnight pavement marker replacement project along Highway 156 and Highway 101 in San Benito and Monterey counties will begin Sunday night, Caltrans announced.
According to the Caltrans announcement:
The 16-mile project will involve three locations – Highway 101 from Monterey to the San Benito County Line; from the junction of the Route 156/101 separation to Alameda Street; and on Highway 101 from the Airport Boulevard overcrossing to the Boronda Road overcrossing.
Overnight work hours will be Sundays through Thursdays from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and Fridays from midnight to 5:30 a.m. No closures will take place Saturday nights. Minimal delays are expected.
The pavements markers are replacing damaged or missing markers along the various highways in San Benito and Monterey counties. Roadwork is expected to be completed by early November, weather permitting.
The contractor for this $104,000 project is Central Striping Service, Inc. from Rancho Cordova.
