Peggy Basarich died Sunday evening at Hazel Hawkins Northside
Convalescent Hospital. She was born in Bunnel, Fla. and was 75
years old.
Peggy Basarich died Sunday evening at Hazel Hawkins Northside Convalescent Hospital. She was born in Bunnel, Fla. and was 75 years old.

She came to Hollister from Ashland, Ohio and graduated from San Benito High School. In addition to working on the family apricot ranch she was employed with Brown and Chappell Hardware and the Hollister Free Lance. She was a member of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge #29 IOOF.

She is survived by her children, Steven Basarich of Hollister, Susan Villnueve of Livermore and Nancy Joseph of Paicines, her sister and two brothers, Alice Bahr of Gilroy, Butch Michael of Ohio and Bob Michael of Florida. She is also survived by her many grandchildren.

A celebration of her life and a reception will be held Tuesday, April 27 at Paine’s Club in Hollister from 2-5 p.m.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. Private family inurnment will follow the cremation.
