Perry M. Morris died suddenly Saturday, July 19, at the age of 84.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired superintendent for the City of Hollister water department, and a member of the American Legion and Public Employees Retirement System.

Morris was preceded in death by his oldest grandson, Mark Farrar. He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Morris of Prunedale; children Mickey Pawlik of San Jose and Jean Blotti of Prunedale; sisters Nina Splawinski of Carson, Calif., Margorie White of Torrance, Calif., and Jeanne Wade of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and brother, Richard Morris of Carrollton, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation has been held. At the family’s request, no services are planned. Arrangements were by the Struve and Laporte Chapel in Salinas. Burial of ashes will be in the Castroville District Cemetery in Moss Landing.
