Peter M. Hallett died April 2, 2008, of cancer at Stanford Hospital. He was 58. Born November 11, 1949, in Watsonville, he graduated from Watsonville High School.

Mr. Hallett worked for Watsonville Roses for 20 years before moving to Hollister where he worked as an operations mechanic for San Benito Foods. He was an avid duck hunter, and he enjoyed softball, baseball, car racing, and wheelchair soccer. A San Francisco Giants fan, he coached little league and pony league. Mr. Hallett could build or fix anything, including restoring his own “hot rod”. He loved the 60’s oldies, but his favorite

pastime was spending time with his family.

He leaves his wife, Lori, of the family home in Hollister, his children, George, Peter, Jr., and Robert Hallett, Leticia and Andrea Hallett, and Jessica Hallett-Morrison. He also leaves 4 sisters, Mary Hernandez, Roberta Casteel, Kathy Smith, and Michelle Hallett, and 7 grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 P.M., at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 A.M.at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 2401 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville. Burial will follow at Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Mehl’s .

Donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
