lengthy illness.

Private services have been held through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home for Phyllis Earleen (Spomer) Johnson who died Monday, Nov. 17 in Hollister at Northside Convalescent Hospital following a lengthy illness.

A native of the Fresno area, Mrs. Johnson had lived in Hollister for the past 22 years.

She graduated from Visalia Junior College and belonged to the Delta Kappa Theta Sorority.

Mrs. Johnson played bridge and golf at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club. She also loved to paint and draw nature, especially trees.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Edward Johnson.

She is survived by two sisters, Esther Brockliss of Arcadia and Elvera Dihel of Fairfield. She is also survived by her daughter Sue Ann Johnson of Hollister, and son Bradley Curtis Johnson and daughter-in-law Sharon Johnson of Vista; grandchildren Kirsten Brianna Johnson of Hollister, Heather Nault of Vista, Shane Nault of Tucson, Ariz.; great-granddaughter Savannah Sharrer of Vista; and three nieces and one nephew.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Fund in care of the funeral home.
