The driver of the pickup truck is examined by emergrency workers after he ran into a dump truck that was parked along Union Road on Monday afternoon between Southside Road and Airline Highway.

A pickup truck struck a dump truck on Union Road at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

It occurred between Southside Road and Airline Highway. The driver of the pickup truck was examined by medical personnel, while the dump-truck driver did not appear to have any injuries.

The accident did not cause traffic delays or cause a need to reroute traffic.

The California Highway Patrol, San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters responded.
