Hollister police Saturday arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl, according to a statement from police.
Police arrested William A. Medina-Lopez, of Hollister, and recommended charges of rape; sex with a minor more than three years younger; oral copulation by force/fear; oral copulation with a minor; and contact with a minor with the intent to commit sexual acts, according to police.
Police learned of the allegations in the final week of October – that the man had been having sexual relations with the juvenile. Police reported that the suspected crimes had been occurring over the past four months. The girl recently moved to Hollister and was staying with family members, while the suspect lived in the same home, according to the HPD.
Police arrested Medina-Lopez at the home. He was booked at the San Benito County Jail and is being held on $250,000 in bail.
