According to a press release from the Hollister Police Department, a suspect has attempted to contact children using dolls and stuffed animals on two separate occasions on the 1000 block of Del Rio Court.

The first incident occurred on July 16 around 3:50 p.m. The release said that the man was trying to contact children using stuffed animals. A relative of some of the children contacted the man, who fled from the area. The relative called police around 35 minutes later and when police arrived, the suspect could not be located.

Around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, the same suspect, carrying a bag of dolls, tried to contact children again. A relative of some of the children he approached tried to contact the suspect, but he again fled. A resident from the area witnessed the July 16 incident and called police and told authorities he was wearing yellow pants and a black shirt. When they arrived, the suspect could not be found.

Based on witness descriptions, the suspect is said to be around 60 years old, 5’4″ tall with a slender to medium build. He could possibly have a mustache or goatee.
