The suspect is shown

Hollister police Sunday arrested a 19-year-old Hollister man and alleged the driver had been pursuing another vehicle while pointing a handgun at its occupants, according to the Hollister Police Department.
At about 4 p.m., police responded to Hillcrest Road at McCray Street due to the reports of a chase and use of a handgun. After a vehicle collision involving the suspect and other car, police then located the suspect’s car and pursued him. That police pursuit ended in the 300 block of Howard Court.
Police found a handgun and ammunition near where the suspect, Cesar Omar Aguilar-Garduno, was apprehended.
According to a statement from police:
The investigation later revealed that the suspect confronted the victims and accused them of being allied with a rival gang. The victims attempted to get away from the suspect in a vehicle. The suspect chased them and pointed a handgun at them repeatedly. The suspect stopped chasing the victim’s vehicle after the victim’s vehicle collided with a fence on SR-25 near Hillcrest Road. The victims sustained moderate injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
Aguilar-Garduno was booked in to the San Benito County Jail on weapons and gang charges, along with attempted homicide, and evading the police with willful disregard for public safety. His bail is currently set at $561,000.
