Hollister police recently arrested a local man with a suspected connection to burglaries at storage facilities in the area, according to a statement from the Hollister Police Department.
Police arrested the 40-year-old man and are searching for two others in connection with those burglaries. To see descriptions, go to the Hollister police Nixle webpage.
According to the police statement on the matter:
On May 6, 2016, Hollister Police Officers arrested (the suspect) for multiple charges stemming from a string of burglaries. Two other individuals are also sought in connection to the crimes.
The Hollister Police Department has been conducting an investigation regarding multiple burglaries in the city. During the investigation, it was determined approximately $40,000 in power tools, $700 in furniture, $4,000 in stereo equipment, multiple firearms and a high powered rifles were stolen in those burglaries.
On the afternoon of May 4, 2016, Officers from the Hollister Police Department, Agents from Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team (UNET), San Benito County Deputies and San Benito County Probation Officers executed a search warrant on the 1600 block of Buena Vista Road. Officers recovered many items reported stolen in recent burglaries from storage facilities in the Hollister area. Officers from the Hollister Police Department are conducting further investigations into those cases.
Police Officers arrested (the man) for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, ex-felon in possession of ammunition and probation violation.
Further investigation revealed (two others) are wanted in connection to the burglaries. Warrants for their arrests are being processed. They are believed to be in the Hollister area.
