The victim reported to police that on Jan. 8, last week Thursday, he had returned home from running an errand and parked his vehicle in front of his house when a group of Hispanic males ran toward him, according to the statement. He got in the vehicle and drove away, and the juveniles followed him at a high rate of speed in a Honda.

At the intersection of Westside Boulevard and South Street, the Honda pulled alongside the vehicle and the passenger pointed a black .45 caliber pistol and fired two shots, according to the statement.
