Marcus Orozco

The Hollister Police Department arrested two men on suspicion of trying to rob the Quik Stop market last week, according to a police statement.
Police alleged that Ramiro Ramos, 20, entered the market on 1300 San Juan Road on Thursday and demanded the clerk give him money and lottery tickets, according to the statement. He was wearing a shirt wrapped around his face and grabbing at his waistband as if he was concealing a firearm, according to the announcement.
According to the announcement from Hollister police:
The clerk said she didn’t have any money and called 911. Ramos ran out of the store without any money and got into a gold, two-door sedan driven by Marcus Alex Orozco, 22. Orozco and Ramos fled in the vehicle.
Officer William Hutchison, who was on routine patrol, heard the radio broadcast of the suspects’ vehicle and saw a car matching the description near the intersection of Fourth and San Benito streets.
Hutchison stopped the suspect vehicle on San Benito Street near South Street and, with the assistance of Gang Officer Matthew Weiss, detained Ramos and Orozco.
Police alleged video evidence from the store confirmed Ramos as the suspect who tried to rob the store. Ramos and Orozco were booked into the San Benito County Jail on suspicion of attempted robbery and conspiracy.
