DRUG POSSESSION:
Luiz Mendoza, 28, of 550 Tiffany Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of a .80 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a felony, possession of a meth pipe, a misdemeanor, and drug and paraphernalia possession warrants in the 1700 block of Airline Highway at 4am on Thursday, police said. Mendoza was contacted after an officer found him digging through the garbage, police said.
PETTY THEFT:
Immanuel Gutierrez, 24, of 644 Powell St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for petty theft, a misdemeanor, and a possession of marijuana warrant, in the 500 block of Tres Pinos at 9pm on Wednesday after he stole beer and Windex wipes from Safeway, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
