Domestic Battery

– Moises Alvarez Vizcaino, 29, of Los Banos, was arrested by Hollister police in the 1000 block of Victoria Drive in Hollister for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, at 2:40pm on Sunday.

– Carlos Ureno, 26, of 463 Seventh St., was arrested by Hollister police in the 400 block of Seventh Street for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, at 6:36pm on Saturday.

-Jesus Fernandez Rocha, 42, and Gloria Rocha, 40, of 1390 Memorial Dr. B in Hollister, were both arrested by Hollister police at 10:23pm on Saturday for domestic battery after they hit one another, police said. They were both arrested because police couldn’t determine which one was the aggressor, police said.

Resisting Arrest

-Jose Alfredo Elias, 25, of 961 Del Rio Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for burglary, use of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, and resisting arrest resulting in injury of a police officer, a felony, at 8:34am on Sunday. Officers contacted Elias on Thursday in the 900 block of Del Rio Drive for a traffic stop, but he tried to escape and ran through an apartment, crashing through a window, police said. An officer was injured while jumping over fences, attempting to catch Elias, police said.

Arson

-Unknown suspects lit a gold 2004 Chevy Impala on fire at 2:15am in the 1300 block of Matador Drive in Hollister on Friday. The car was completely burned and Hollister firefighters had to extinguish it, police said.

Burglary

– A 15-year-old male juvenile was arrested by Hollister police in the 800 block of San Benito Street at 1:50pm on Friday, after he tried to steal a 30-pack of beer from Dabo Liquor Store. The theft was witnessed by Hollister firefighters, who restrained the juvenile until police arrived, police said.

Possession of Concealed Weapon

-A 15-year-old male juvenile from Merced was arrested by Hollister police in the 100 block of Locust Avenue at 8:53pm on Friday for possession of a concealed knife, police said.

Possession of Dangerous Weapon

-Antonio Gomez, 37, of 1571 Gabilan Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police in the 500 block of Las Palmas Dr. at 3:30am on Friday for possession of a dangerous weapon, a felony and felony parole violation after officers observed him sitting in a parked car that was partially blocking a roadway with a steak knife in his lap. Gomez was cited for having a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle, police said.

Possession of Marijuana for Sale

-Joshua Joseph, 22, of 360 Mary Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for felony parole violation and possession of 88 grams of marijuana for sale, a felony, after police assisted State Parole officers in a parole search of Joseph’s home at 5:12pm on Thursday.

Driving Under the Influence

-Alberto Martinez Garcias, 24, of Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence and driving without a license, both misdemeanors, at Central Avenue and San Lorenzo Drive at 10:42pm on Sunday.
