POSSESSION OF DRUGS FOR SALE:

David Ortiz, 36, of 131 Peartree Lane in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for possession of .18 grams of methamphetamine and possession of drugs for sale, felonies, being under the influence of a controlled substance, display of false registration and expired registration, misdemeanors, at 11:30pm on Graf and Bridge roads on Wednesday, police said.

PAROLE VIOLATION:

Yvette Reynoso, 28, of 1015 Sally St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for a parole violation warrant, a felony, after she was pulled over in the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road at 3:40pm on Friday, police said.

BATTERY:

Sherry Michele Montgomery, 37, of Gilroy, was arrested by Hollister police for battery, a misdemeanor, after she pushed and punched a male she has a relationship with on the corner of Monterey and B streets at 4:15pm on Thursday, police said.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:

Ryan Harris Jones, 24, of Union City, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .09, a misdemeanor, on Highway 25 south of Fourth Street at 10:49pm on Saturday, police said.

Ruth Cardenas Cortez, 27, of 311 Ranchito Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence of suspected drugs, evading police and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, all misdemeanors, at 11:25am on Saturday, police said. Officers attempted to stop Cortez for speeding at San Felipe Road and Gateway Drive, but she didn’t pull over until reaching San Felipe and Highway 156, police said.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS:

Renato Mottu Herrera, 39, of 590 El Camino Paraiso Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by San Benito County Sheriff’s deputies at 1:25pm on Sunday for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after he called the police asking for a ride to the hospital because he had used methamphetamine and it was making him sick, police said.

Leo Anthony Rueda, 19, of 863 Fremont Way in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and violation of probation, a felony, in the 800 block of South Street at 2:02am on Thursday, police said.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA:

Sherry Michele Montgomery, 37, of Gilroy, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of two crack pipes, a misdemeanor, and was cited for possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after she was stopped by police in the 300 block of Tres Pinos Road at 11:10pm on Thursday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
