THEFT:
– Unknown suspects stole $150 worth of stereo equipment out of an unlocked 1995 Dodge sedan in the 100 block of Brandy Court around 4:30am on Monday.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
– Raymundo Calderon Avila, 28, of 1200 Rancho Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police on Monday for domestic violence, a felony, for allegedly pushing and striking a female a week ago that he had a relationship with, police said. He was also arrested for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, because he tried to pull away from officers when he was arrested, police said.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:
– Gerardo Hernandez, 38, of 8180 Fairview Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, evading police, misdemeanors, and having a concealed knife, a felony, on Fairview and Santa Ana roads at 12:34pm on Monday. Hernandez took a long time to pull over, then repeatedly pulled away from the officer as he was being arrested, police said.
WARRANT ARREST:
– Sandra Elizabeth Renteria, 25, of 1411 Sunnyslope Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for a $12,000 warrant for drug charges in the 300 block of McCarthy Street at 12:34pm on Monday.
SPEED CONTEST:
– Samual Robinson, 18, of 720 Fifth St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for participating in an illegal speed contest, a misdemeanor, at 10:17pm on Friday.
All suspects named are innocent until proven guilty.
