Robbery

A food vendor was robbed on Seventh Street at 6:40pm Thursday. Police said the man was approached by a co-ed group of eight juveniles. One of juveniles brandished a handgun and several in the group stole chips and corn on the cob from the vendor, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

A rock was thrown through the window of a building at 35 East St. on Wednesday. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Theft

Joseph Barajas, 19, of the 300 block of Nash Road in Hollister, was arrested by police for misdemeanor theft on suspicion of stealing two 30-packs of Budweiser and two 18-packs of Bud Light from Safeway at 8:30pm Wednesday, police said.

Obstruction

Daniel Sanchez, 20, of the 600 block of El Toro Drive, was arrested by police for obstruction, a misdemeanor, after allegedly destroying personal property, pushing a woman and resisting arrest at his home shortly before 3am Friday.

Drug Possession

Antonio Prado, 19, of the 00 block of Ranchito Drive in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for misdemeanor possession of marijuana at 2:15am Thursday, police said.

Driving Under the Influence

Liovigildo Soto, 21, of the 200 block of Ranchito Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at the intersection of Central Avenue and Graf Road in Hollister at 11:04pm Thursday, the CHP said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
