Auto theft

Thieves stole a 1994 Dodge Ram pickup truck from a residence in the 900 block of Del Rio Court in Hollister at about 11:17am Friday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Thieves stole a 2001 Mercedes from the driveway of a home in the 2400 block of Paradise Court in Hollister between 8am and 8:15am Saturday, police said. The car was left running and unlocked, police said. There are no suspects.

Thieves stole a 1994 Acura from the parking lot of Autozone on McCray Street in Hollister between 11pm Friday and 6:30am Saturday, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

Vandals slashed four tires of a 2003 Toyota Camry at a residence in the 500 block of Tuscany Place in Hollister between midnight and 7am Friday, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandals broke the rear window of a vehicle parked at a residence on West Street at about 2:20pm Friday, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandals spray painted “Norte” on the wall of a school in the 1200 block of Rancho Drive in Hollister at about 1:28pm Saturday, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglaries

Burglars broke into a vehicle in the 700 block of Somme Avenue in Hollister at about 9:30pm Friday, police said. Burglars took credit cards from the vehicle, police said. There are no suspects.

Robbery

Two men with guns and masks robbed El Grullense on Fourth Street at 11:31pm Sunday, police said. The men were wearing black nylon masks, gloves, and hoods and hats, police said. The men are each described as 5’10” and about 225 pounds, police said. The men took $800 in cash, police said. Witnesses did not see what direction the men left in, or if they were using a vehicle, police said.

Arrests

Drugs

Aldo Gonzalez, 25, of Corralitos, Calif.; Derek Guille, 24, of Hollister; and Juan Carlos Valenzuela-Gamez, 21, of Watsonville; were arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, a felony; conspiracy, a felony; transporting a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; after being pulled over in the 500 block of Virginia Drive at 7:28pm Saturday, police said. Upon searching the vehicle the suspects were in, officers found $2,000 in cash, 0.88 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and three smoking pipes, police said.

Ramon Duarte, 30, of the 700 block of Wright Road, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony; possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, a misdemeanor; after deputies responded to his home and allegedly found him in possession of 1.07 grams of methamphetamine, 1.51 grams of marijuana and two smoking pipes at 8:30am Saturday, deputies said.

Driving under

the influence

Christian Matthew Arballo, 32, of the 200 block of Willow Drive in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after being stopped for allegedly brandishing a firearm in the 900 block of San Benito Street at 1:41am Saturday, police said.

Justin Ricardo Miller, 20, of the 500 block of Spring Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after officers stopped him on Airline Highway south of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister at 12:52am Sunday, according to the CHP.

Resisting arrest

Gregory James Pena, 20, of the 1100 block of Wilmar Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of being drunk in public and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, after he interfered with another arrest after the vehicle he was in was pulled over on Airline Highway south of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister at 1am Sunday, according to the CHP.

Ivory Lee Bisbee, 46, of the 600 block of La Baig Drive in Hollister, was arrested by deputies on suspicion of fighting in public and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, after deputies responded to a call about a fight outside of Pancho’s on Fourth Street in Hollister at 1:30am Saturday, deputies said. Deputies tasered Bisbee to take him into custody, deputies said.

All those are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
