At 8:43 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a burglary
on the 1500 block of Cerra Vista Drive. The victim left the
residence around 6:30 p.m. and returned at 8:30 p.m. to find that
an unknown suspect had gone through all of the drawers in the
bedrooms. The sliding glass door and the side garage door had both
been left unlocked. She reported that jewelry was missing. No
suspect information was available.
ARRESTS

Under the influence of a controlled substance, Serene Drive

A Hollister juvenile was arrested and taken to juvenile hall after his mother called police, reporting that he was under the influence of a controlled substance. Prior to him being picked up, the high school called the mother because the student showed signs of being under the influence and was acting strangely. He was picked up at 1:44 p.m. Wednesday on the 2000 block of Serene Drive, brought to juvenile hall and released.

Disturbing the peace, Meridian Street

At 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a male student became upset at a teacher and started throwing desks around the room at Maze Middle School on the 900 block of Meridian Street. Police responded to the school and arrested the juvenile student at the request of school officials. He was taken to juvenile hall and booked. No damage was reported to the classroom.

Receiving known stolen property and probation violation, Suiter Street

At 10:55 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a call on the 1000 block of Monterey regarding a female suspect wearing a stolen jacket. The victim reported that the jacket had been stolen out of his vehicle earlier that morning. The victim confronted the 25-year-old Hollister resident about the jacket and after the parties spoke, the suspect gave the jacket back. The victim called the police and she was arrested for possession of stolen property and a probation violation. She was booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Burglary, Cerra Vista Drive

Vandalism, San Juan Road

At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, a woman was watching TV when the south window of her apartment was broken. When she got up to see what had happened, she saw a male walking away from the residence. She recognized the male from seeing him around the complex on the 1400 block of San Juan Road. Police are still in the process of identifying the suspect.
