Burglary, San Felipe Road

Sheriff’s deputies following up on a burglary case from Oct. 26 in the 700 block of San Felipe Road received a report that some of the property was pawned in Gilroy. Detectives went to Littlejohn’s Jewelry and Pawn Shop in Gilroy, reviewed surveillance tape and identified a suspect. They completed the case and arrested the suspect on Friday.

Fleeing officers

Hollister Police took a 22-year-old Hollister resident into custody at 9:59 a.m. Thursday after an incident that began with an attempted traffic stop. The suspect failed to pull over and began “driving recklessly and evading,” according to police reports. After some time the driver did pull over but then fled the scene on foot. He was caught after a short foot chase and taken into custody. A check of his name revealed that he was wanted on a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

At 1:04 p.m. Thursday Hollister police officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and subsequently found that the 19-year-old female Hollister resident had a felony warrant for theft. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.
