Police blotter: Several drunk in public tickets issued

Tamper with vehicle, Cushman Street

At 10 p.m. on Saturday, police officers saw two suspects tampering with vehicles in the 1800 block of Cushman Street. The officers talked with the 19-year-old and 18-year-old Hollister suspects and found one of them to have an illegal knife. Both were arrested and booked into the county jail.

Possession of a fake identification card, Hawkins Street

At 10 a.m. on Saturday, police were in the area of Hawkins and East Streets for a parking violation. When officers arrived, the vehicle drove off and was promptly pulled over for a vehicle code violation. The passenger, a 36-year-old Hollister woman, produced a fake identification card. The driver, a 18-year-old Hollister male, was cited for the vehicle code violation and the passenger was arrested and booked into the county jail for the fake identification card.

False identification, Sunnyslope Road

At 11 p.m. on Friday, a 29-year-old Watsonville resident was contacted by police regarding a separate investigation. The suspect gave a fake name to police and through investigating, officers learned that wasn’t her true identity. The suspect, who also had an active warrant, was arrested and booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Embezzlement, Westside Boulevard

At 2:10 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of an embezzled vehicle that was found in the 200 block of Westside Boulevard. On July 15, the victim asked the suspect if he would work on his car. The suspect agreed but the victim did not get his vehicle back for nearly two months. Police ascertained that the suspect had possibly sold the vehicle to another party. After speaking with the other party, police learned that the victim owed him money and the car was used as collateral. The car was recovered by the victim and police have yet to contact the suspect.

Vehicle theft, Recht Street

Between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday, an unknown suspect stole a vehicle from a residence in the 200 block of Recht Street. No suspect information was available.
