Police blotter

Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to report of two men
fighting in the 2100 block of Calistoga Drive. When officers
arrived they found the two men pushing and shoving each other over
a family argument. After officers separated the two individuals,
both decided not press charges on each other.
Battery, Calistoga Drive

Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to report of two men fighting in the 2100 block of Calistoga Drive. Vehicle theft, C Street

Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of C Street after someone complained that a suspect drove off in his car after a verbal altercation. The two men were in an argument before the suspect took the car keys from the reporting party and drove off in the reporting party’s car. As officers were talking with the reporting party, the suspect returned with the car. The reporting party asked the officers to place the suspect under arrest and they did.

Petty Theft, San Benito Street

At 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to Jesse’s Gas at the 700 block of San Benito Street after a customer stole a box of Corona when the clerk wasn’t looking. The suspect bought a soda before the clerk became distracted, which allowed the suspect to steal the box of Coronas. The suspect, who is described as a 5’4″ thin Hispanic 18-year-old male, was seen running in the 7th Street area. Officers are still investigating.

Vehicle Theft, Bordeaux Place

Police reported that a vehicle was stolen between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Bordeaux Place. The ’94 grey Astro Van was taken in front of a home in the area. Later that day, officer found the vehicle behind San Benito Bank on San Benito Street. The owner reported that only a CD player was missing.

Offensive Words, Felice Drive

At 4 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 200 block of Felice Drive after a group of suspects were yelling at a group of four, asking them to fight. The suspects were yelling gang slogans and challenging the other group. The four reporting parties ran away from the scene but were chased in a black four-door Honda. When the group told the suspects they were going to call the police, the suspects fled. Police are still investigating the incident.

Burglary, B Street

At 9:15 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a burglary in the 500 block of B Street after a neighbor heard a loud bang and three suspects fleeing the home. When officers arrived the home’s resident reported that only his dog was taken. Police processed the scene and are still investigating.

Sexual Battery, Tres Pinos Road

Officers responded to the intersection of Tres Pinos Road and Airline Highway after a woman reported someone walked up behind her and groped her around 5 p.m. Friday. The woman was unable to identify the male and didn’t want to seek prosecution. Officers are still investigating.

Attempted Burglary, Tres Pinos Road

Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 500 block of Tres Pinos Road when a suspect walked into Safeway and stole a bottle of alcohol, hiding it in his hat. The suspect returned later and tried to steal another bottle of alcohol but the store’s manager confronted the man, who took off running. The man slipped and fell, breaking the bottle he tried to steal, before fleeing. The man is described as a 16 or 17-year old Hispanic male with a blue shirt and black pants.

Battery, East Street

At 9:30 p.m. in the 800 block of East Street, police responded to a report of a man who was beaten. An unknown suspect, who bloodied the victim’s face, assaulted the man, sending him to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. The victim was too intoxicated to give a description of the subject but officers are still investigating.

Disorderly Conduct, San Felipe Road

At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 100 block of San Felipe Road after a report of man sleeping on the sidewalk. When officers arrived they found a man passed out on the curb. When officer woke up the man, he couldn’t stand up or talk. Officers determined the man was drunk and took him into custody.

Burglary, Tres Pinos Road

At 2:20 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road after three men broke into the Shell Gas Station across the street from K-Mart. Two men broke into the store and took three 18-packs of beer. The third suspect waited outside the building. Surveillance cameras caught the suspects in the act and police are still investigating. The suspects are described as one adult Hispanic male with black jeans, shirt and hat, one Hispanic juvenile with a black shirt and red hat and another juvenile with a white shirt and black shorts.
