Burglaries
Burglars broke a window at San Andreas Continuation School on Alvarado Street in Hollister between 5pm Thursday and 7:55am Friday, the Hollister Police Department said. Burglars took a Sony computer worth $1,000 and an LCD projector worth $800, police said. There are no suspects.
Vandalism
Vandals keyed the body and broke the window of a Chevrolet Tahoe in the 900 block of Powell Street in Hollister between 6:20 and 9:20pm Jan. 20, police said. Damage is estimated to be $399, police said. There are no suspects.
Auto thefts
Thieves stole a Ford F-150 truck left with the keys in the ignition and running in the 500 block of East Street in Hollister between 4:45 and 5:07pm Sunday, police said.
Arrests
Drunken driving
Evangelina Gallardo, 51, of the 800 block of San Benito Street in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after San Benito County Sheriff’s Office deputies turned her over to the CHP on San Benito Street north of South Street in Hollister at 1:46am Saturday, according to the CHP.
Jose Noel Ortega, 58, of the 1100 block of Ellis Court in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of driving under the influence, misdemeanor, after deputies stopped him for a drunken driving check in the 1100 block of Ellis Court in Hollister at 1:50am Monday, deputies said.
Robert William Chamblin, 29, of the 1400 block of Windsor Court in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop at the intersection of Seventh Street and Monterey Street in Hollister at 12:46am Saturday, police said.
Kenneth William Warren, 60, of the 1300 block of Sally Street, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop at the intersection of West Street and Seventh Street in Hollister at 2:53am Saturday, police said.
Drunk in public
Silbiano Zapata, 51, of the 900 block of Palm Court in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, after responding to a disturbing the peace call in front of his home at 8:19pm Friday, police said. Zapata was found to be unable to care for himself, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
